Can anyone help, just built a DIY PC, it is playing up on the following. It will not recognise HDD after I have shut it down and do an immediate switch on (ie switch off then hit the power button).

If i pull the power cable out , put in it work fine every time.

I have changed the IDE primary and secondary on the mobo and changed the HDD from master to cable select.

It still does it.

Is it the HDD or mobo

help appreciated

any other boards in there? Try removing all other boards and see if that works.
