Rip Off Britain!

Rip Off Britain!
I've been looking at buying a camera to take on a cycling trip this year. The cheapest I can find the particular model in Britain is £116.
However, on Amazon.com, ie: from America it is £75, so I try a German site and hey presto, £75 too.
Anyone got any tips on buying from abroad etc?

If the above is true, buy from Germany, you won't be hit for import taxes etc.
However, the plug for the charger will need to be changed, and you'll need to source an English manual.

At least the German one will be the right voltage, you'll just need an adapter. An American one would need a new adapter to cope with the our higher voltage.
Assuming of course I did remember correctly that Germany use 240v or thereabouts.

Everything you buy in Britain seam to be more expensive than anywhere else in the world.
The Government want us to spend in the high street while telling employers not to give pay rises.
