So, what are you going to do instead and can you really not spare two or three hours a week for some exercise?
Is it too inconvenient to get fit and avoid an early demise?
I have not time for exercise dodgers.

I joined mine before Christmas - and i admit over the period with rushing around like an idiot i have not been that often. doing favours for people this an that.
was talking about this last week and how i used to always find time for the gym well f**k everyone now they can wait.
i've been hammering the gym for the last two weeks getting my moneys worth.
even the management there seem dissapointed - they must be used to people joining and not going.

Paid for three years to Fitness First, first couple of months went about 5x a week, then never bothered.
Sent an email and stopped the direct debit, then get a call 2 years later from a debt collection company wanting £55 for unpaid membership . *****!

Whats the point in a gym?
Rowing machine - free
X-trainer -£50 eBay
Bench & Weights - £100 SN
Bicycle
Sure, I don't have access to some of the frills but its doing the basics. Don't see the need to spend £30 or so a month for gym membership if you are self-disciplined enough - which is what we're really talking about, self-discipline enough to take exercise on a regular basis. If paying hard earned cash on a monthly basis doesn't make you, then there's no hope.

that is a good point TBH
i was in the bath tonight with a beer
thinking of joining the gym, the G/F goes all the time, but i seam to work far to many hours, although i did say last November, i wanted to join around march time when an old standing order finally finishes (might as well use the £80 a month on something)
i still do quite a bit of home weights, but what i really need is some heart beating going on, instead of standing there grunting and straining LOL
i live next to a nice marina and massive new park, so i`m thinking, why go to the gym when i can run round this ****er every morning for a bit
worst thing i ever did was get a car 11 years ago TBH, downhill spiral from then

What cracks me up most is those health freaks that can't leave the gym alone.
I was on holiday in the Maldives over Christmas, and blow me there were people pounding the treadmills and cycling like mad in there sweating their bollocks off.
Nutbars, the lot of em.
White sandy beach all the way round the island for jogging in the lovely weather and worse than that, the recommended transport to get around the island... Yup. CYCLES !!
I know!!!, lets pay £50 a month gym membership, and then drive everywhere you could actually walk if you wern't so fecking lazy.
Andy
The only advantages of going to a gym is the view.
