Asking cos I lent a so called friend money totalling £740. Now this has happened last year. I gave her grace when she was made redundant, but I have just found out that she was living with a friend who has thrown her out for not paying rent. He is now got her in a situation where if she doesn't pay him she gets arrested.

Now unfortuantly it looks like none of the records I kept have survived the forum crash and system rebuild so can't prove that I leant her the cash.

So do I put the frighteners on her and threaten court action, or write it off as experiance albeit an expensive 1.

I lent a "mate" £3K over a year ago to get a new flat / Christmas / etc. I then moved and changed jobs, so we didn't see each other any more. All my texts & calls went ignored until I threatened small claims court, then surprisingly I got a call back. I've given him until the end of March, then proceedings will be issued.

It's easy to do, you can do it all on line.

Don't lend money to friends.
Especially don't lend money to ugly girls where there is not even the desire to sleep with her.
