You'll crash them!

Big wide summer sports tyres does not help!

Saw 2 crashes already today, low speed stuff, but both were young people who hadn't a clue how fast to drive.

To be fair - there are plenty of middle aged and elderly people who don't have a clue how to drive in snow and ice either, who I'm sure will have accidents today.

I'm just about to go out (to work) in my Supra. That is NOT going to be fun at all. It is a little twitchy when there is a slight dew on the ground let alone actual snow ...

I can't believe anyone owns a Subaru and puts it away because it's snowing.

Cars are for driving, rain, shine or snow.
Just adapt your driving to suit the conditions!!

Arguably the major benefit in having 4wd is for conditions like this. The salt has been on the roads for a while.

Click on view my Scooby for a couple of pics of this morning.

This is what a real Impreza should look like, not some poncy polished thing tucked away in the garage, under a fleecy blanket, next to a radiator to keep it warm!

When it's your only mode of transport you have to use it, can't be arsed with the ' oh it's wet outside best not get the car out ' thing .
Hence driving to work this morning was fun, back end of motor sliding around a treat, great fun .
Anyway come the weekend I can give it a wash then, I'm sure the salt won't rot it away in 2 days !.

I do have a choice of vehicles to drive and i tend to take the Almera as its Diesel but it simply would not get to the top of my road this Morning......first gear all the way and then you slide back down hoping not to hit any cars

Pulled the Scooby out and was at work in 5 minutes

I think i will pop out for a bite to eat

Why are so many people worried about salt....Don't any of you clean your car??? i use the pressure washer, do underneath, arches etc... salt is gone....

Perhaps it's because you bought a rally bred, 4WD car designed for treacherous conditions and as soon as it snows you wrap it up in cotton wool?
