Severe Weather Warning????
What is it with this country?
Half the population has gas guzzling 4x4's and it sounds like the Met office predicting Armageddon tomorrow.....
If you read closely the extreme weather warning it says that they are predicting 2 cm of snow. How is 2 cm of snow extreme weather in my book it is a light dusting what on earth are they on about.

The country will grind to a halt tomorrow, every road will be shut due to accidents, trains will not run as the snow will be the wrong type ... may as well stay in bed all day

I have been to the supermarket and bought 14 loaves, 55 fishes, tinned goods (and some wine) along with 3 tonnes of firewood (even though I only have a gas fire)...

They probably say 'extreme' to justify the chaos it will cause.
Still waiting for snow here in the Balkans - I arrived in November when it should already have snowed - we've had none and it's now Feb and it's sunny and 16 degrees! There are crocus's outside and I'm in a t-shirt. Lovely. Wish I was at home for the snow though.

Update 1600 hrs....
Snow shelter is operational in anticipation of the extreme weather.
Slough is eerily quiet.........the calm before storm
