Ive only ever seen it done once, Ive smashed nocks off, and wrecked arrows, a plenty though

had a piccy somewhere of a lad who did a tripple robin hood in a competition,

the odds against doing it were astronomical

It proves that the archer had achieved the same line consistantly.

Try it indoors at 20yds, and the gold is the size of a coffee jar lid! even smaller for compound bows though

How do you get YouTube to buffer a video before it plays please.

Mart,

What do you shoot? Where's your club (assuming you still shoot)? I've been shooting recurve for just over a year now and have taken out 1 nock and two fletchings so far. I shoot ACCs so not particularly keen on destroying them I've got a couple of comps coming up (this weekend and next) so will see if I can get any better.

ACC's,, unless things have changed, that would be carbon aluminium jobs. not the supero expensive ACE's, or is it the other way round....??

to be honest i hant shot for a number of years, but still have all my equipment upstairs..... forget the cost of busting one, there only about £12 each

get yourself indoors, and start shooting portsmouth or vegas rounds.

you need to be rattling them together to start getting good scores, so getting shy and worrying about cost wont do you any favours...

568 was my indoor best score

if you want more info, drop me a pm (365 days a year shooting range)

Amazing accuracy considering the flex in the arrow shaft as it leaves the bow.

I want one!

i've done it three times now, using a compound on a 18m Fita, burys the arrow about 6-10inches inside the other arrow,
once it pushed the first arrow so hard the pile (point) flew out behind
seen it done a few times in comps but its great and a pain in the *** at the same time

Ive seen a compound wound up to 100lbs, using broadheads, it decimated the indoor target at quicks they only allowed him a couple of shots

the flexing of the arrow the other guy refers to is the paradox if i recall,

easton arrows used to have a poster showing this effect, hence the need for a good pressure button.

Mart

Well, I just completed the county indoor champs (Portsmouth) at the weekend. Pleased to say I passed my previous PB and scored 555. I could have got more but was starting to get tired. Need more stamina. I came 6th out of 46 so relatively pleased.

ACCs are less expensive than ACEs. I'm not too bothered about damages to fletchings or nocks, they are quite cheep to fix. Now, just need to build up my strength for the combined Fita next week end...
