Question

Hope some body can help here.

I have just installed Freeserve on my PC, and have registered an email address. The problem is I cannot seem to be able to create additional emails for other members of the household.Does anybody know how I can do it?

Also, I cannot launch Freeserve from the I.E. icon.I have to go: Programs/Connect to/Freeserve, and even then it doesn't always launch into the homepage, although the connection has been made.

Could this be a Windows XP problem, or just a set up issue?

Any help gratefully received

Cheers
Steve

Hi there,

If you account is:

youraccount.freeserve.com

or whatever, you own

anything@youraccount.freeserve.com

and can use Outlook / Outlook Express rules to separate mail for

persona@youraccount.freeserve.com

and

personb@youraccount.freeserve.com

What we do is I have one freeserve account, the wife has a totally separate one, and we have separate profiles in Outlook Express so we can have our own separate folders etc.

Hope this helps,

Simon.

Hi Simon,

Thanks for the reply.

So if I want to create a totally new account for Mrs SPJ,should I go through the installation procedure again, or is there a shortcut way of doing it from the existing account?

Cool

Installed Freeserve!

What for?

I have found Tiscali easier to connect to and not overrun with guff.

Otherwise, what he said.

Barry,

I know, I know!!

I just happened to be in Dixons and picked up a disc.

Are there any charges for Tiscali, or is it PAYG?
I could still be tempted to open up something else, if it's any good.

Cool

Tiscali do both. Similar charging to BT for "Anytime" 0800 (or 0808) freecall number £12.99 per month I think.

Or "Classic" which is free ISP with 0845 phone calls.

You might also try Manufree.net, free ISP and 0845 phone calls.

Yes it is the dreaded Man Utd, but it's a good service and if you are a fan you get <yourname>@manutd.com as e-mail. I think you get 5 free e-mail addresses on there.

To create an additional account go here:

https://join.freeserve.com/noties/tou.ahtml

Don't change any dialup properties to reflect this account, just create a separate Outlook Express identity, and give it that account's details.
