Got a HP Procurve 2324 switch.
Question is, can I partition 12 of the ports so they are completely separate from the other 12?
I want to effectively use it as two switces.
Anyone any thoughts, I know it's not a managed switch but the manual does seem to imply that it can do a hell of a lot of clever stuff. I am just not sure of what the term is to describe this process. I would have guessed 'partition' but that is not in the index...

You have to enable vlan support (off by default!) and reboot the switch.
You can then create the new vlan (vlan menu changes) without further interuption - it is, imho (Cisco biased) a bloody horrible user interface for doing this (includes 801.2q tagging in the main interface!).
