Post processing counts - but, thats so cheap these days that there is no point paying lots because you get little!!

3 stars in this months HCC.
Conclusion -
It's relatively lightweight with a flimsy build and a wobbly disc tray which doesn't promise much for this model's durability. Still, it's multiregion and has a good selection of connections and fair compatability so if you're looking for a cheap region free player for the spare room it hould fit the bill.

In other words it's a load of rubbish. Who wants one anyway? What practical use does a portable DVD player have?

Worth a punt at a tenner but go read this thread: WHO MAKES DURABRAND???????
From a Walmart employee ... " ... Hey i work for wal-mart and it is a 90 day return policy now... durabrands are the most aweful things ever 1 in every 4 comeback to cuz because they break they are made so poorly. alco makes most of the durabrand stuff ... ".
But there is a multi-region hack at least.

My DVD player cost 100 times that.
I'm guessing that either I have been robbed (LOL) or these £9 jobbies are exactly what they what they look like.
Why buy Dom Perignon when you can have meths ?

ARCAM DV79 - The Puppies Nuts
DURABRAND - The Puppies Bowel Movement
Said it before, And I'll say it AGAIN
Buy QUALITY GEAR and it'll last you a lifetime AND you get 2nd to none customer service.
Buy RUBBISH and it'll be in the rubbish bin time and time again and you'll get laughed at if you complain.
Mind you - that is just my personal viewpoint.
I kinda like to hear my music as it was intended to be heard!
That gets me onto speakers and oxygen free cables but I guess you can't throw pearls etc....

I bought one of these DVD players over 2 years ago now and it still works perfectly.
Also bought a TV for the front room and it was perfect until the remote went kaput. Took the remote back to ASDA and they give me a brand new TV as a replacement, of course bringing back the old TV. A year later same thing, a new TV. So in the space of two years I was given two brand new TVs for two used but in full working order TVs only because the remotes died out.
But i realised there was something to do with Bush/Goodmans since i seen both a Bush TV and a Goodmans TV with the exact same look and remote but badged differently.
Whoever makes them, i dont think they are as bad as people say they are

A mug is born every single minute .... good job a few clever people are born in the same minute to keep you firmly in your place.
They ran a little test at a Hi-Fi show in London a few years ago ..... they set up a cheap, lowly thought of make of Amplifier into a nice 'DENON' type case ...... they put a really fancy looking Graphice Equaliser on it too.
These Hi-Fi Geeks would gather round and start 'tweeking' the Equaliser, a slide here, a slide there, and discussing amongst themselves where the best place for the sliders should be ..........
Fair enough you would think ..... but, NO!!
The point of the demonstartion was that the Fancy Expensive 'Looking' Graphic Equaliser was NOT connected - NOT CONNECTED TO ANYTHING!!!
And this is where we have the Hi-Fi Geeks ..... they haven't a clue - but, really, truly believe they know what they are on about Even when shown that there were no wires AT ALL connected to the Equaliser they STILL wouldn't believe it .... never is there a more blinkered group!!
In the VERY SAME way as the ***** on here when they talk about HeatSoak, Crank Sensor Removal after Oil Changes, CockLinks and Re-Maps at £500 a throw!!
Friggin NUTTERS who get their money taken off them because they just are not clever enough to understand whats actually going on!!
Awwwww, Bless 'em ............ Oxygen Free Speaker Cables - a Classic case of idiots getting fleeced!!

I would much rather give the kids a 9 quid dvd player than a 900 quid one
what do they know about quality
