Having seen numerous threads on here slating the police I usually tend to think that they are only human and can make mistakes. Tonight I was in Chez Fred, a chippy in Westbourne, Dorset, which is situated right next to a pelican crossing. As I waited for my order I noticed an 06 plate Landrover TD3parked up on the zig-zags coming up to the crossing. There was a plod in the chippy queue, and I wondered if he was going to ask said vehicle to be moved... but no, having placed his order he left the chippy and got back in the Landy! What really pi$$ed me off, is that there is a large Dorset Police notice at the chippy counter, warning customers that it is an offence to park in such a way as to contravene the pelican crossing, including the zig-zags... and so doing makes you liable to a £60 fine and 3 points.... unless you're hungry plods, obviously. So we have double standards, and to all those of you around Bournemouth, a nice unmarked TD3 in black/very dark green reg HG06 GTZ waiting for the unsuspecting.

letter of complaint to the Local Chief of Police...

No doubt if the plod had issued a ticket, some other tool would have posted on hear some bollox like,

should have filmed it on a Phone etc (if possible) then gone to local press and then Police.
