Yep, another thumbs up for the halfords stuff.
I've a set at home, and i've even replaced my old snap-on stuff at work for it.
Fairly pricey, but has a lifetime guarantee(sp?). I broke a 1/2"drive rachet (using it with a scaffold pole for leverage!), took the rachet back without a receipt and they gave me a new one, no questions asked!

Every now and then Halfords knock £50 off the professional set - then its great value - still good at £150 mind.

I think I have the same kit ...... The one downside to the kit, I use mine so much, the plastic 'hinge' on the back of the case has worn through, so is in 2 pieces now ....... And has been for the last year bound together with a small ratchet strap .

The only downside to my one is where i closed it upside down, spilling EVERY socket all over the road, my my that was fun putting them all back

Halfords Pro tools aren't just good for the price, they're good full stop
I stopped buying Snap-On stuff because it's just not worth the extra

I used my Halfords Pro to rebuild the entire 205 without so much as a failure or breakage, or even any marks come to think of it, they still look like new.

Halfords professional here too, got mine when they knocked it down to £99, which is a great price
Only rounded off an allen key so far, and they just gave me a whole new set of them
Nate, can you not take it back and get a new box on the warrenty? Or does it only cover the tools?

Fairly sure that Halfords Pro stuff are made by Facom anyway, or it may be Snap On - they are made by a top brand though.

For a professional they probably are worth the extra because they are used day in day out, and unlike 95% of over-hyped American made ****, Snap-On do, in my experience, live up to their rep
However, the vast majority of mechanics tools are not however bought by professional mechanics, they are bought by weekend tinkerers like me and most of the people who use this board, and for that group of people, I stand by what I say
Most of the mechanics I know didn't get themselves into thousands worth of debt buying Snap-On by the way They did it in exactly the same way the rest of us do it, getting married

It's not available in-store (at least in Swindon), only online.... (just tried to buy one)
So - you've got no option but to pay £5 delivery as well - still a good deal.

Can anyone that owns one of the 150 piece Halfords Pro sets confirm actually how many of the spanners are ratchet spanners????
It doesn't say on the website and you can't tell from the image - and I'm on the verge of hitting the "Buy" button...
Thanks
