......to come through when you change a car? We bought privately a week ago, but nowt's come yet.

I think mine came through after about 4 weeks. They have been quicker i the past but not by much

1 - 3 wks normally. The V5s are sent of to India where the inputting is done.

You can re-tax with the green slip you should have received with it.

The DVLA do seem to have speeded up their act (especially since the new style V5),and mine usually appear after 1-2 weeks.................however that depends how quickly the last owner/garage sent off their part to the DVLA,if they take a while to do that,once the DVLA get it,it will then take 1-2 weeks.

The easiest way to find out is to phone them and ask if they have received it yet,and they should also be able to tell you how long before you get it from them.
