Home Office to split into 2 departments!

Or it would if recommendations by John Reid are followed!

BBC NEWS | Politics | Home Office could be split in two

Drastic move, could be what's needed though if recent events are anything to go by. Or is this another NL ploy to reduce unemployment figures (again) by creating more civil servants (again).

Nah its just a ploy to divert attention for the cash for honours latest.... bury the bad news

No doubt it will 1000s more government jobs as well with of course Tony's buddies running the show.

Wasn't the Home Office originally created some while ago by amalgamating two other departments?

Rather than political, this is a typical management strategy: if you don't know how to cure the problems, re-organise.
