can anyone tell me why you have a light in the fridge but not in the freezer lol

 

I have a chest freezer with a light in, but i know where your coming from.

 

Its just a cost saving feature on the low end freezers, as they assume that by putting drawers in the freezer you would have the gumption to pull them out when looking for foodstuff, unlike a fridge which has recessed shelving.

 

it might be because if there was a light in the freezer and it was left open for a long while without you noticing the bulb would get quite hot and it could defrost your food.
just a wild thought

 

Because it stops stupid people getting electrocuted

Why would the frozen food need a light in the first place?

It's not as if frozen pea's can read, can they? What would they read if they could?

Its because no one lives in the freezer, now in the fridge we have the elephants which leave footprints in the butter...........
