Why would anyone want blue lights on their car?

Bloke round here got a very nasty surprise when he bombed up behind a car flashed his *ahem* "police style" strobes and got quite a nasty surprise when the car in front lit up like a Christmas tree.

Best not to pick on an unmarked firearms car eh!

Here are some amber ones we use on our car as a safety vehicle on our motor club events

When this one is on it is very very bright

Amber ones under the bootlid on the inside

Clear ones in the front lights

Wonder what ones you have mate ?? any photos / videos off them in action ??!!

the ones on ebay either seem to be these cheap max power specials - very convicing !!! or led strips which flash theree times - short pause and then flash theree times again with both lights flashing together as opposed to alternating like on the real traffic cars.

great story about the guy flashing his strobes at the car in front only to find out it was an unmarked traffic car - would have loved to have seen the look on his face !!

again jsut seems to be a lott of these things being sold so obviously they are being used out there and they cant all be being used off road !!!

LOL! Impersonating a police officer is something the BiB take a very dim view of.

Prefer to think off it as more off impersonating a pace car myself !!!

to be honest mate as I say I noticed that there was a lot of these blue coloured strobe kits being advertised on ebay so they must be a common enough mod to some off the local boy racer brigade or even some off the ESC as has been pointed out in the thread above !!

A seems I was not looking hard enough on ebay guess what I found ??!!!

eBay.co.uk: Headlight Flasher Kit - Alternating Wig Wag Flashing (item 220070036099 end time 18-Jan-07 22:15:00 GMT)

must admitt its probably only around a fivers worth off electronics from your local Maplins within that little box ??!!

just wonder how your little headlamp bulbs would cope with being subjected to this abuse as well ??!!!
