I have just moved house and running cable to the rear speakers of my surround sound system is not achievable because on the way it has to cross two doors. I want to have a wireless connection for the sound to travel to the rear speakers.

Are there and off the shelf units that I can buy (and I dont mean a baby monitor!!) that will take a speaker input, transmit it to a receiver and then output to my rear speakers or do I need to look at a new home cinema system with wireless connection already built in.

Philips do one. Looked into it a few months ago but forgotten the model etc.

Found that Sony, Panasonic and Philips do one but I am going to try the Maplin kit first to see how that goes before spening £500 on a new setup.
