Dreamcast infected with Virus
#1
I've a feeling we'll be seeing this sometime soon with X-Box... anyway here's the story:
Japanese developer KoolKidz made a startling announcement today regarding their recently released Dreamcast game 'Atelier Marie 1 & 2.' According to company representatives, the game is infected with a dangerous PC virus known as 'W32.Kriz.' Specifically, the GD-ROM disc features PC compatible features such as added wallpaper images and a screen saver with the hidden virus. When loaded into a PC, the virus can destroy your hard-drive and overwrite BIOS commands. Released in Japan on November 15th for 7,800 yen ($63), the game is already being pulled from retail shelves. This admission by KoolKidz makes this incident the first known virus delivered by a console game in Japan.
