Default Christmas Spirit - What a great feeling

Well I got a Wii last week. It was a Christmas Present to myself (33yrs old) Big kid.
Today I find out that a little lad down the road has asked for one but his parents havent been able to get one and are now looking at local ones on ebay for up to £300.
I come home and my son is playing on it .....

I tell my son that Father Christmas hasnt got any left and this little boy wont have one on Christmas Day .... I assure Little Wish that Father Christmas will have lovely toys for him on Christmas Day and I would replace my Wii in the New Year.

So Ive just called the Parents and had the Lady crying down the phone at me saying its a lovely thing to offer and will make He Sons Christmas.

THATS THE BEST PRESENT I COULD ASK FOR !!!!! I FEEL GREAT !!!!

So Im going to be Wii's less in 20 mins but feel great for it !

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

Are you happy because you made a killing on it or that you gave it away free?

I have a real problem with parents doing anything they can so that their child can have what they want - we are teaching the adults of the future that they can have what they want ........................

................... don't want to **** on your party, but imagine how much better you would have felt had you sold it for £300 and sent the money to the NSPCC - to help those children who have LESS than NOTHING (not just the latest toy!)

The Xmas Spirit is great if it makes you feel good ..... I, and everyone else, is however desperate to know how much you made on the deal

I'm a realist ...... Wish heard that a neighbour was willing to pay £300 for this toy - £££££££££ signs appeared and the deal was done.

It's a warm feeling making a killing - but, it should not be confused with the feeling you get when you actually give something away to someone who has nothing .....................................

They are distinctly different - I know both feelings well ..........
