So the BBC have really shafted that other blokes reputation now by broadcasting the anonymous interview he gave them for background, where he told them all about him ******** several of the prossies and taking them to get their drugs. Nice going.

I guess he was a bit naive to believe they'd not broadcast it.
Btw I never liked Steve Wright's show.

What I mean is that the police had to apply to the court to extend the time they could keep him in custody, they justified this by presenting their 'evidence' to magistrates

Yes, it's called the law. You need to give your reasons for continuing to question someone further, but you don't need to produce evidence that they are guilty. Quite obvious really, if they had evidence that they were guilty they wouldn't need to keep questioning them, they'd just charge them.
Still why pass up an opportunity to knock the Police eh?

Who is knocking the police
I just didn't understand the 4 days thing and wanted someone to explain it.
Why so paranoid ? I've never had any bother with the police, in fact quite the reverse.

Sorry, just assumed you were one of the people on here who slag off the police at every opportunity.
The police have to show that extended time for questioning is required. In a case like this I would imagine that would be fairly simple to do.

They should have canned the investigation weeks ago and spent the money on more speed cameras
