Worst car you couldn't catch...
Hi all,
Fun thread for you to see who's truthful....
....."What's the worst car that you couldn't pass, kept up, made you look silly or got totally blitzed by?".....
I'll start the ball rolling:
Volvo S60 2.0T
VW Passat diesel (the new one)
IMPORTANT: This is purely a thread listing cars that are bad/uncool etc. by the person that classes them as such. i.e. I think the Volvo and the passat are mediocre uncool cars and was surprised that I couldn't pass one of them and couldn't shake the other off.

I remember a Renault GTA making me look stupid when I was in an S40 T4 a few years back, I knew they were fast but didn't realise that it accelerate away as if I had just slammed on the brakes

S60 T5 saloon 250BHP ..i used to have one.. they are
No chance i could stay with one in my impreza i have now..And if i saw one coming up behind me on the motorway i would pull over..
back on topic a GT3(i know not uncool) blew me away the otherday as we were coming on the motorway from a slip road.Was on par to about 70mph then it was game over..

When I had my e36 M3 I thought I'd have a go with two imprezas that overtook me. I caught up with them but at every roundabout they just left me standing at each and every one.
Hence why I changed to a scooby

My own ****ty 420 GSI turbo.
The boost was wound up to stupid levels with straight through exhaust.
When my bug was new i was following my girlfriend and she floored it and left me standing.
So I got done by MY bird in MY car

Couldn't shake a Pug 106 GTI when I had the R32.
Mighty embarrassing!
However I constantly embarrass people in the soot chucker Astra - Up hills, not a lot can catch it - Great fun rep bashing in it!

i had problems with a 205 1.6 gti when i had my 230bhp mk4 turbo golf..... later found it was a 2.0 turbo from a citren stripped and 350bhp LOL opps with a gti 6 box

May i also add, i sold it for £300 soon after, so a £300 ****ter blew my new £15000 Scooby away

I REALISE THAT NOW.I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST AN AUDI ESTATE

my old civic vti would have given one or two imprezas a run for its money with the old vtec power.
Only thing that sticks out in my mind that i couldnt keep with was a 320bhp evo VI. Then again i do have a more or less standard 94Rex lol. Oh well i tried.....

One of those Cupra thingies, I think it was an Ibiza? (i.e. not a Leon) Nice looking car, too. Had a couple of miles of "spirited" driving on our test track and I couldn't shake him, was very disappointed to find that they only run 180bhp...... I keep telling myself that his must have been heavily tuned....

My early WRX has since been mapped for more boost and feels alot more eager, can't wait for the 'Pod season next summer.
