Anyone on here surf (as in on waves)?
Bit of a surf nut here - Been at it since 14 (now 31), used to compete, be sponsored, etc, etc.
Anyone else into it?
Just had a nice little surf at a place called Perranporth (and one last night at Porthtowan).

got a T+C 7'2" sat outside my house, ready to go on my bus next year. Went to Perranporth last summer, going to try the Isle of Wight this year. Getting the kids into it. Do run to the Sun and the Board masters (watching) now and then, but Like you i surfed most of my child hood. My little boy has a few rash tops and suits already for the summer

Yeah, but not for about 2 years. Job's kept me in Bucks ofr a while now, but am originally from the land of Oggies!
My local break was Gwithian. Although Sennen was good too, but a bit far (20 miles) on a pushbike with my board under my arm.
Have you tried the South Coast - that can be good too.

Every year for about the last 35years (only for a week or two per year), know Cornwall pretty well, especially the major beaches, Fistral, Watergate etc.. and some other not so well know, Sennen, Widemouth Etc..
On about my 8th board now, custom made in Newquay by some of the Ocean Magic crew.
Getting a bit old now to battle out in anything over 4feet, so use a bodyboard (and fins) for the big stuff.
Love it !!!, great this time of year, as it's not so crowded. Need to be hardy though !.

Used to windsurf when I lived in Cyprus but gave up when moving back to UK. Olds live in Bude so have been surfing on and off for last 10 years.
Am boardless at the mo but borrow my brothers 6'8 when I go back and mostly go to Widemouth as only 5 miles down the road. Never got that good but always entertaining watching Josh and Ruben Ash (British Champion now I believe).
My brother still does a fair bit and jumped on a plane with his board to lanzarote last month just for the hell of it.
My other brother has worked in Surf, Wind and Ski for the past 6+ years so always been able to get some good price on clobber.
Wakeboarding is my thing at the mo. Started properly last summer after a few goes here and there. Loving it.

I surf, but only in kayaks - it's just one aspect to the most cool watersport on the planet . Don't get chance to get to Cornwall often but we surf Hell's mouth and Black Rock in N. Wales and Cayton Bay on the E. Coast - its quick adn easy from Nottingham
