Quad for a kiddie
Thinking of getting one for Dunk jnr (5 yrs). Naturally don't want to spend a fortune, but want it to be as safe as poss. (Cut out, speed limiter.... remote cut ?). Any ideas where to start as there seems to be endless options, all looking as good (or dubious) as the others ?
Any ideas of a decent source of new / s/hand ? (Or would I be best leaving my hand in my pocket & spending properly for a branded name in the future ?)

I wish my dad had thought of that for me when I was 5

My son was pestering us for one last year but we bought him a load of vouchers to use at a local quad bike centre to try it out through the year.
This included goes on several types of quads as became better at controlling the things, plus came with protective gear and all done on several decent (but managed) tracks.
It avoided the hassle of keeping it in the garage, transporting it around, servicing, cleaning & mending the thing.
Sure enough, he became tired of it by July and moved onto the next fad.
I wasn't left with a quad bike gathering dust and taking up space.

£1300..........my first car cost half that !
I'd rather spend a bit on a decent toy that he & his sis will use for years to come, than leave them sofa bound with the latest Ninstation ii mk3.
