I've had this function on my phone for a while now, probably 18 months. But good to see they are introducing it to Europe, as this was just a USA thing. Will save a lot on phone calls, but I bet the service providers, like O2, Orange, etc. will charge a fee to use the service.

PTT has been available in the states for ages..

I'm sure that there will still be a charge for using the service..

As far as I'm aware PTT isn't available in the UK yet. Virtually everyone in a group I belong to has a PTT enabled phone but none of us could get it to work.

When the operators to enable it, you can bet there will be an extra subscription charge.

I've got it on my phone and it hacks me off as I can't use it, nor do I want to, but every time I switch the phone on I have to go through the "Switch push to talk on"? "Yes or no" rigmarole. Aaarggh ferkin thing.
