Default Best record covers?

Listening to a couple of records last night and was thinking how many excellent records have been murdered when done by other bands.
Rarely has there been an improvement on the original so lets hear what you think was better.
My two
Tainted Love - Marilyn Manson(Marc Almond)
Unchained Melody - Al Green(Righteous Brothers)

Any others.

And if anyone lists Westlife the thread will be vaped

In one of our venues we have 2 walls dedicated to record covers, we asked staff and the pubic to come up with some idea's and the best ones made it onto the walls, there are far too many to list though

Mixed feelings on that one as Fugees good and with Wyclef makes a difference, but still love the Roberta Flack version.

Telboy - Knocking on Heavens Door. Now thats what I'm talking about.

Every Elvis song ever covered because the useless burger munching bog coughing wazzock had the voice of a yank tenor with a sinus problem... So songs line FYC - Suspiscous Minds, PSB - Always On My Mind etc wipe the floor with the originals...
Oh and Knocking on Heavens door by GNR too...

Best

Eva Cassidy - Fields of gold(Sting) - beautiful haunting voice
Pet Shop Boys - Always on My Mind (Elvis) - perfect cover verison, grab the orginal, rip it to bits and reconstruct it to be nothing like it was before.
Nirvana - The man who sold the world (David Bowie) - as good if not better than Bowie and that is saying something

Worst

William Shatner - Common People (Pulp) - frankly unbelievable
Pet Shop Boys - Where the streets have no name - Oh dear (as Bono said "What have we done to deserve this?" )
Paul Young - Love will tear us apart (Joy Division)- leave it alone you t**t
