Basicly we are trying to come up with idea's to raise money for my friend at work whose wife has sadly got breast cancer, anyone ever tried this or know anyone who has? I know the thing is to get out and get as far away as possible without any money, just your passport and blang yourself onto a plane to see who can get the furtherest away.

joking aside, i aint heard of this before but it does sound like an unusual way of raising money so you should get more sponsorships from the "norm" way of doing things to raise money. Best of luck and best wishes to your friends wife

I believe Loughborough University used to do this as a challenge for rag week. The challenge was to get as far from Loughborough as possible in a set period, and come back with proof.

Legend had it that one guy had a relation in the RAF, and he managed to get on a Herc and ended up in Sydney.
