Question Waders needed - any recommendations?

Afternoon all,

I need to clear out the stream at the bottom of the garden and rebuild the retaining wall etc. so need to get some waders to let me work without getting soaked.

Not being a fisherman I've no idea what are considered a good make that don't leak after 5 minutes use.

I like the idea of these waders - especially as it's buying British.

Any comments or knowledgeable opinions from anyone?

Thanks,
Steve

You do not need to pay that price.

Try here. £30

You can get Neoprene for that price.

Decathlon do good quality ones for cheap if you are local to one

Neoprene will be a lot warmer .

LOL at hutton - Bloke further downstream used to breed crayfish - there's no way I'm risking having one of those hanging off my nadgers!

Hadn't thought of neoprene - although it's warmer, is it really waterproof? Wetsuits seem to leak!

Will no doubt end up using them more than once - stream will need maintenance, and a friend needs his pond cleared out (he can borrow them - same size feet!)

Thanks,
Steve

Neoprene should last longer, rubber tends to crack after a while.
Remember to sort them hanging up away from direct sunlight.

Don't get felt sole ones unless its all slippy rocks.

Cheers richie - good point about the soles. Will get something with a bit of foot protection as when the water was lower I saw there's various old pipes/bits of metal in there.
