Yesterday around 22.00h a Crossair Jumbolino-plane crashed in Birchwil (town next to Zurich Airport)!! I used to live there with my parents (now only my dad lives there). When I saw the report on TV I couldn't belive my eyes, I had to ring my dad imediately. He then ran over to the crash site to see if any help was needed, but there were already about 100 ambulances + firetrucks. The plane crashed about 900m away from our house into a wood!! Out of 33 passengers 9 persons were lucky and survived, 10 persons found dead so far...no more survivers to be expected. Around the time of the crash I was also in this area doing crazy drifts with my scooby on the fresh snowy roads, but haven't had a clue about what happened at the same time!! The pictures on TV with the dark fogy/snowy weather looked pretty horrible!!
All my condolences for the families that are involved.
Will those tragedies ever end?!?

A mate of mine is a aeronaugtical engineer working for crossair over there, he phoned me last night a bit distraught.

Seems he couldnt get hold of a lady hes seeing whom works for crossair as a hostess.

How is your mate doing at crossair? How does he feel in regards of the two companies (swissair/crossair) merging together? Hope he can keep his job and that this stewardess was not involved in the plane accident!!

He's fine with it, theres still plenty of work untill after xmas. He's going to go elsewhere after xmas anyway.

I dunno about his friend not heard anything since, though I think she's fine or i'd of heard.
