Another great example of US justice in Iraq...
BBC NEWS | World | Americas | US marine jailed for Iraq death
If this crime had been committed on an american, it would have been 50 years on death row and then the leccy chair.....but as its just a crappy Iraqi he killed, 18 months will do nicely...
Wonder what this chap will get?...

5 years?(would be death sentence if an american!)

I always marvel at how threads such as these get little or no replies, yet the usual trolling muslim hating threads end up rpages and pages long......
Funny old world isnt it!

Seriously though almost everyone is Iraq-fatigued by the monstrous number of deaths, suicide bombings, kidnappings, torturing and murder that seemingly go on there every day caused by the natives themselves. One more death just isn't really relevant in this context, even though the story is actually quite horrific.

You can't judge the entire US army on the action of these few nutcases. I am sure there are many noble and respectful soldiers.
Pretty much the same way you can't judge the entire Muslim population in the world from the actions of a few.
I always judge people from their actions, words personality and characteristics. May those guilty of comitting these henous crimes get buggered by 'Bubba' in the prison showers on a regular basis.

I think you can judge the US Army on these actions, because it isnt just a single incident. It is happening time after time and the US forces just have no regard for anybody else. Countless cases of abuse, murder and now rapes. It is disgusting. The UK forces are absolutely nothing like the US forces. Discipline has completely broken down in certain places. The US Army as a whole are to blame and need to take responsibility for all this. I would never judge all those who are part of a certain faith due to the actions of some radicals, because that is different people in different cultures under different circumstances and laws. The Army has one set of rules whoever and where ever you are.

I think you missed a bit:
As part of a plea bargain, Jodka pleaded guilty in October to charges of assault and conspiracy to obstruct justice, while prosecutors dropped other charges including murder and kidnapping.
The BBC's David Willis, in California, says other more senior officers among the defendants are expected to face kidnapping and murder charges.
They could face the death penalty if convicted in trials that are likely to drag on towards the end of 2007, our correspondent says.

yet if he had died in that incident there would have been a story about how he was handing out sweets and baking cakes for iraqi kids when he was gunned down by a gun wielding group of iraqi militants.

Quite relevant in the context of how it happened. The British army needs to distance itself from these 'John Wayne' loose cannons. Our soldiers should be protecting our homeland not getting gunned down by 'friendly fire' for Dubya's swansong.
