Tom Tom route problem

Tom Tom route problem
Good morning all!
Drove from Norwich to West Midlands this morning and used my new Tom Tom One, more out of curiosity as I know the route well anyway!
When I reached the junction where the A14 goes under the A1 near Huntingdon Tom Tom thought it was the start of the M6 and told me to go onto the motorway!!! As this is 40 miles short of the M6 at Catthorpe what do I do to correct it???

Never trust the Tom Tom 
99.5% of the time it's spot on, but sometimes it just has it's moments, tomorrow morning try the suggested route and take in some new scenery

Welcome to the world of TomTom and its little idiosyncrasies.
There's nothing you can do about it other than report it to TomTom. I'm not sure which base map they use but it will get corrected eventually.
