Wink

I know, you should only need the first 3 to find the vendor!

We got spanning tree elections, just found its this mac doing it, so we gonna shut down spanning tree on the ethernet port.

DOH - the joys of simultaneous posting - I have a VB routine for getting the MAC address - as a last resort you could give it to your users, then they could run it, and if theres matches then you could do something that way - let me know if it's any use to you....

..but if it's the vendor-specific bit that code belongs to:

00-03-80 (hex) SSH Communications Security Corp.
000380 (base 16) SSH Communications Security Corp.
Fredrikinkatu 42
Fin 0100 Helsinki
FINLAND

according to the IEEE

Well I've heard of ssh (i.e. secure shell) but I wasn't aware of SSH as a company.

You arent using load balancing or fail on fault network cards such as teaming with compaq, as these could possibly cause problems (or so our network guys keep telling us!)
