Angry Ebay non payment

Right anyone used a wesite or debt collection company to collect unpaid money from an ebay auction? I remeber reading there is a company online who does this effectively but lost the link. Where do you stand legally as as far as I'm aware ebay is legally binding?

Any help appreciated as this is my first messer and he isn't going to get away lightly!!!

Non payment after 2.5 weeks value just under £100. Also anyone know the charges for these companies?

you still have the goods that you sold? Is it really worth the stress and hassle?

A few work on a no collection no fee basis (the likes of TNC Collections) and then charge anything between 10 -15% recovery. Better rates applicable the more you pass them but this obviously aint going to apply to you.

Alternatively there's the county court depending on the circumstances of the transaction and the fee to issue would be £30.00 IIRC.

forgot to add solicitors could draft you a letter and make it look that you are really serious. The ones that I've used at work range from £3.50 to £10.00 for a standard seven day notice letter.

Claim your fees back through ebay and put it down to experience.

It's almost impossible to get anything back and the hassle just isn't worth it.

Default Interesting

Yeah I still have the item. Problem is he has one neg feedback before me and he then gave a neg feedback. How many bad reports until ebay do something? So I guess if I do the neg thing.............
Just kinda sucks, although this is my first messer after 60 odd transactions, I will look into that company. Could they not pass on the money they want and get the bloke to pay so I get full whack and ad on a solictors letter fee for good measure. Also if I claim the fee I guess I would still have to deliver the goods as this person will have paid??

problem is if you neg him he WILL retaliate ... hence screwing up your feedback.... which sucks i know but thats life....

report to ebay... hopefully they will suspend his account, you will get your fees back and re-list the item

unfortunatly its one of the downsides of ebay...

what were you selling?? a phone?? and whats his reason for non payment?

Buy it now at £120 so someone bids £900 ??!!!! why go to all the hassle off registering another username just so that you can put in one dodgy bid and muck up someones particular item ??

ebay at its very best !!!! will give it another five years and personally think it will all be over.
