Hi Bob, I just tried to drop off, really. Went on holiday for two weeks, came back, realised I had a busy autumn and that staying off SN would help.

I still need to ask some questions to the audience, but generally I think I should do something more constructive than reading/posting on here all the time. Going for the big Flounce Out isn't really me...

Cheers
Brendan

How on earth did Scoobynet know during the very early hours of Saturday morning (00:48 - when PG posted the info) that Brendan would be logging in at around 21:00 on Saturday night?

Spooky!

It may have been put back, but I am sure it wasn't cancelled. Maybe someone else can give us a definitive answer.

Audilover - Have a look back over the last few months' posts - I'm the one who seems to (a) keep defending you regardless of the sh1te you post, and (b) then corrects you on some of the sh1te you post.

Now run along little boy - you're playing with the big boys now.

The BBC themselves would never use such a word. What they have stated however is that Top Gear has been 'postponed indefinitely' - or in other words, it's been effectively 'axed'.

So, there is nowhere where it says it has been axed. I thought so. It has obviously been postponed and it will be back. I'll bet you a tenner it's back on screen when Hammond is fit again.

Actually there are plenty of places. Clarkson articles petitions etc.

I'm not denying that they might well 'unaxe' it. Or perhaps they will let it slip from the schedules quietly and permanently once the publicity has died away.

Either way, I was really looking forward to the new series whose first episode would have been on err... now actually! As far as I'm concerned that's about as axed as it gets.

Yes it is. Where is it then? Oh, it's not there, why? - because it's been axed.

All I see is some dogs poo about a Dragons Den or something, and now you owe me a tenner.

A programme is axed when it is taken off the screen permanently and no new shows are made. Top Gear has been POSTPONED until Hammond is fit again.

I look forward to getting a tenner from you when the new series is screened. Stop wriggling out of the bet.

But I've already won, because Top Gear has already been axed. Getting pedantic about being 'postponed indefinitely' and 'axed' doesn't alter the fact this it has been removed from the airwaves and there is no set date for its return ever. Postponed, axed - axed, postponed - it doesn't matter. It's gone.

Thickest person on Scoobynet aren't ya. How many ******* times do you have to be told.

Postponed isn't the same as AXED. Again, I look forward to your payment to me when it's screened.
