The media and obesity......what a mess!
Every day this week, the BBC, for one, has had article after article on healthy eating, healthy school dinners, healthy pack-ups, stressing how 1 in 3 of our kids are now overweight.
Meanwhile, interspersed with this barrage, we find OTHER articles about stick-thin models, and UNDERWEIGHT kids, especially girls.;(
The media seem to want it BOTH ways. Personally, it looks to ME a bit confusing. Goodness knows what kids must make of it. There seems to be no wonder our kids are having problems.

Otherwise, we have Chelsea the Chav using the BBC to support her dieting to anorexia, while we also have Billy the Butterball eating what he likes, and ALSO using the BBC to support his bad habits.
A bit extreme, maybe, but you see what I mean? If the media continues to hammer BOTH ends of the spectrum, dozy kids will use what they've heard to continue their bad habits, and weak parents, of which their are LEGION, will do nowt about it.
