Mangoes and prices
does anyone know why I can buy a Mango for 79 whole english pence
yet I look at the fair trade Mangoes in the box next to the 79 pence ones, and they are 1.98 ?????
Thats a massive difference in price, the bananas arent that much different in price
Oh, and when is the best time to eat them, and how long do they last (no dates on them)

The best time to eat them is when they are ripe
i googled for you, Sonic
Mango season is apparently May to September. Place ripened fruit in a plastic bag in the refrigerator up to five days. Unripened fruit may be ripened in a brown bag at room temperature for two days.
Ripe fruit is variably coloured yellow, orange and red, reddest on the side facing the sun and yellow where shaded; green usually indicates that the fruit is not yet ripe. When ripe, the unpeeled fruit gives off a distinctive resinous slightly sweet smell.
I never knew mangoes are in the same family as poison ivy, and some people have a skin reaction if they touch the fruit skin. But if someone else peels it for them, they can eat the fruit

King RA we do get Fair Trade Bananas
but I didnt quite agree with the extortionate price of the fair trade mangoes
These are still green, and just in the fruit basket at the moment, they have started to go slightly yellow tho might try them in a brown bag now
