As an aside to my Douglas Bader thread..
How many ex and current serving service personnel have we on SN.
I do not care if you are Army, Navy, Air Force or Coast Guard.
Also what area where you in and what qualifications did you get?
I will start
I rose to the dizy heights of L/CPL in the 3rd Battalion The Queens Regiment,
I was in B Coy, 4 PLT. Platoon, then Company radio Op, GPMG SF Gunner, Signals standard 2 , Snow Cat driver/Mechanic. Was due to do Sea kayak Instructor cadre but Sadam invaded Kuwait so that was canned.
Toured in England, Cyprus and the Falklands, not to mention SBS Terrorist training on the RMS St Tristram in the Med.
Think thats is as I dropped out of sniper training.

5 years in the infantry and 12 years in the Royal Engineers.

D coy, 2nd Battalion, The Wessex Regt (5 years):
GPMG Gunner
Class 2 and Coy Signaller (so I didn't have to carry the gimpy)
JNCO's cadre (to get L/Cpl and so I didn't have to carry the radio)
227 Amphibious Engineer Squadron, Hampshire Yeomanry, 78 Engr Regt (7 years):
A1 Amph Engineer
B3 Combat Engineer
M2 Bridge Commander
M2 Amphibious Bridging Equipment vehicle Commander, Driver, Pilot, Crewman
NBC Assistant Instructor
Recruit Training team
Ammunition Representative
HGV 3
Promoted to Cpl.
135 Independent Geographic Squadron RE (V) (5 years):
Skill at Arms Instructor
NBC Unit Defence Instructor
SNCOs course (left before getting to Sgt)
HGV 1
DROPS driver/operator
