Default Wholesalers

I bought a few job lots on eBay and have been reselling them. It's been going reasonably well as a bit of a hobby, however it struck me I probably ought to be sourcing goods from outside eBay.

I'm not looking for high value goods, most of my stuff sells for between 50p and a couple of quid. I've found a few Wholesalers through Google that sell on pallets of returned goods from catalogue shops etc.

Can anybody recommend a good one in the Midlands area, are there any other places to be looking at for stock?

Nope, but then again I don't have my own business to let me gain access to such places! I suppose I could consider that route but I'm not sure if I'm serious enough about it all to jump through that hoop as yet. CHeers for the idea though

This question never fails to get the same response on the PowerSeller Forum which I'd have thought was obvious to you OllyK.

Why would people want to give potential competitors the name of their suppliers?

I know this isn't eBay here, but nonetheless the people who do know are hardly going to tell you, I would suspect, if they are business minded.

Good luck with your own search however.

I wasn't aware this was the power seller forum on eBay

And yet people already have - funny that huh? Consider people may be aware of wholesalers though other activities and yet don't use them themselves for business!

Not far out of Shrewsbury there is a Wholesalers called "Dealers" They sell all the trinkets and reproduction antiquities that you see in the "olde worlde" highstreet shops, you'd be amazed at the mark up. They also have a Train and a Tank

There is also a similar wholesalers up sheffield way, the name escapes me though.

Need to be a bonafied trader to get an account at both.

Might not be the stuff your into, but hey, just passing knowledge

Now, if you know any good overseas A/C wholesalers in France or Spain, give me a nod

By a copy of the World's Fair newspaper. It has a section i the middle for market traders. Available every Friday but your newsagent will probably have to order it in for you.

You will be amazed by the cheapness of the stuff!

i used to use dropship online and mainly sold bathroom towels

people were paying more then RRP for them and when they opened them the RRP was printed on the packaging

I have looked at it, but not in any great detail. I'm only doing this for a few beer tokens so not looking for big outlays of dosh to buy stock.

saves all the postage

but you do have to compete with all the other drop shippers, TBH i think its all down to how well your advert looks

people picked mine, even when others were offering them cheaper for some reason

Where do you think I'm making my money, certainly not selling an item at 49p with a listing fee of 30p.

Think I've found it, £24.99 for lifetime access to a UK directory of Wholesalers and Drop Sellers with a load of eBooks and Software resale rights included to boot!

There ya go not too hard was it?

Not sure if this site will benefit me but we will see.

A little bit of advice....if you are buying small items that are relatively cheap to construct go to China!
