Thanks for that. I've got this month's PocketGPSWorld database though, but my subscription has just expired so it'd be good where to get free updates in the future. Cheers.

Your answer is posted above, download the POI Loader from Garmin's website.
Mr M, I'd still be interested to know where you got this from for free for future reference. Mine is up to date at the moment, but I regularly use the M56 which has 40 limit specs at the moment so it will be a pita when the roadworks are gone and the thing moans at me when it thinks I'm speeding there, for example.

A heads up for garmin i3 owners. If your unit has v7 maps, you can freepost the sd card back to garmin and they will update it to the new v8 maps for FREE.
You don't get that service with tomtom!

Garmin only do free upgrades if you bought the unit a set time before the new maps were released.
For example if you buy a Garmin in Feb and they start sending out new maps on 1 Mar they will give you a free upgrade but if you bought your Garmin in Jan you'll have to pay. All details are on garmins cartography pages.
You can update the unit software online and the routing software (mapsource) but not the maps.

The newer i3's have the maps stored on the unit, so no card.
I removed the memory card last week and sent it away to Garmin uk for updating.
Today it came back in the post with new City Navigator Europe NT+ v8 maps!
All free of charge, no postage or anything!

I had an i3 that broke and they gave me a new one a month or so back. now my i3 always asks which country when i put in a destination ... it appears to have some very basic/bad euro maps included. ??
