I know it can be a source of knowledge, hence the reason for asking on here, and i know i will get the usual sort of comments

There have been quite a number of threads in the past regarding depression and prozac, so obviously some sufferers on here, and prozac is alleged to help with BPD

But I have a few specific questions I would like to ask, by pm too if need be

Thanks, I do know what it is, and know someone who potentially may have it, although not diagnosed, and would be the last person to admit they had problems

one of the reasons I want to know, is are they safe around children, thats the information im having trouble finding

I haven't looked at this - it is a BBS of children of parents with BPD. There may be some help in here - if it is an issue then its possible the children might speak out.

Thanks Rannoch

I have looked at that bbs, along with few others, in this case the children are too young to speak out for themselves, and they arent aware of what bpd is

I guess the answer really is that they could be ok, but may not be, depending upon if an episode was taking place (its a bit like epilepsy in some cases) and then children could be in potential danger, and hence the need for supervision

Joe,

my logic is that you may have found some clues from what other children have experienced.

If this someone close to you then give them all the support you can.

Good luck,

Rannoch
