Sore Throat...
Hiya,
just back from Portugal, where I got a really sore throat which lasted a few days. Stupidly - I used the same toothbrush as I had when I was on holiday and I've given it to myself again
I've taken Nurofen and Tyrozets lozenges but I'm still in agony and finding it really hard to swallow. I'm supposed to be meeting my girlfriend tomorrow evening who I haven't seen since I left to go on holiday, but there's no way I'm going to make it feeling like this.
Anyone have any suggestions for a quick fix to get me back on the crusty bread in no time at all?
Cheers,
Brian.

Yes obviously if its too hot move your head away I usually find it just about right when it first starts to boil and just after its boiled, not when its in max attempt with your gob round the lip

That will teach you for going down on Portuguese prostitutes
Cheers for the other advice - called the Doctor to be told I can have an appointment next week, gee thanks! So it looks like I'm just going to have to cancel on the girly and munch Nurofen until I feel better.
Can't even go to sleep as my super-human snoring makes my throat feel worse when I wake up.
What a wimp eh?!

Gargle three times a day with warm salt solution. Salt has very good anti-bacterial properties.

Try zinc lozenges, Oraldene mouthwash to gargle and colloid silver spray for the back of the throat it will take time I had it bad recently. I hope you get better soon they can be bloody nasty...

Just got back from the doctor as they agreed to see me at short notice - and it's tonsilitis. Penicillin and Co-Codamol should see me right. I'm off to bed for the next 4 days.
Cheers for the advice - bit worried about the kettle suggestion though! I boiled the kettle last night and was seriously considering it, but I could see me turning it into a Captain Disaster farce so just made a lemsip instead.
