Unhappy Digital TV signal problem.

Our Sony KD-28DX200U tv ( 18mths old) will not connect and load all the digi' stations that it did last week. Normally it stores some 86/7 stations but after frequent autotuning it will still only load 46. All the ITV and Sky style channels are not there. I looked at manual tuning but it is not picking up any signal at all for them. Set up says the aerial signal is strong. ITV1 and CH4 are watchable only on the analogue side.
So is it an external problem of mast/signal/ transmitter breakdown/weather or am I in "call the engineer' territory. We are in the East Midlands.
Any ideas at all ?
Thanks

Brian

we have had loads of complaints about the digi signal in the last few weeks down here in Essex. The combination of high temperatures and high pressure really seems to mess the signal up, even more so than an anologue signal. ITV are the weakest of all the digi stations so if your gonna suffer from poor signal it generally shows up on these first.

Wait until the high pressure has gone and try a virgin install (ie: Reverting back to the initial installation) Best time to try is when it's raining and thick cloud cover, that way the signal tends to bounce off of the cloud cover and not dissapear up into the atmosphere.

Hope this helps. Boyd.

Oh and theres no point in getting hold of a Aerial amp cause they tend to amplify the bad parts of the signal as well as the good bits.

Best thing is to get a professionaly installed high gain Digital aerial, that way u pull in more pure signal and not a mish mash of Amplified rubbish
