Especially good advice if you live in a flat

Oh - and leave all your curtains closed during the day

Sara - careful leaving your loft hatch off while away.

Should a burglar fall through your hole you'll be liable for any compensation for his distress !

another tip - if you have a fan going, don't just plonk it anywhere, stick it infront of an open window so its pulling in cooler air rather than pushing the warm air round the room....

Having no neighbours is another tip. I haven't had a problem sleeping or feeling too hot in the home.

Plenty of field cross-winds ensure you actually get chilly in the night without the duvet.

If I visit friends or family living on estates or anywhere built up, then it's a completely different experience.
