For the post code I get Winnipeg, for the town Connecticut ..... Don't have that problem with Google Earth and can see my house quite clearly in the London aerial atlas - even make out the cars outside

Mine is no more than eighteen months old. I'm guessing February 06 looking at the amount of frost on the roof and lawn. New neighbours and my spare car are both there so can't be too long ago
I'm impressed - very cool

That is VERY cool. Brilliant picture of my house, less than 12 months ago.
It's great that the 'birds eye view' can be rotated so that you can view your property from each of the 4 compass points (click on the compass points when in birds-eye mode)... and it doesn't just rotate the map, it's a different view.
Very cool indeed.... the pics of my house are at least as clear and detailed as TopBannana's "send a chopper up" picture - probably more so.

Sussex - at larger scale it's the same pics as Google Earth (the ones with the clouds over SE England ), but can zoom to 50m scale. Doesn't give a v good pic though.
Lisbon - crap, GE is waaaay better.

That is so cool, I can see our Subaru outside our old house in Wales and the Fiero up on ramps in the drive.
