Old cassette tape repair from a video camera...
Anybody know of a high street chain that has the equipment still to play old cassette tape formats such as Video8 P5-90MP? I have a tape with some footage on that I really need to recover and am hoping its the video camera thats fooked (yes its 20 years old 
) and not the tape so need to try it in another device to play it back.

Try a local tv repair man. Ours does loads of stuff like that. Transfered Canadian tapes for us loads of times.

I got some Hi8 tape transferred to DVD by a high street shop, but be warned, they charge nasally! I think the first quote I had was 40 or even 50 quid - for one cassette (and it only had 30 mins of footage on it!).
