Default Samsung E900

Anyone here have one as a daily phone?

I've been debating an upgrade (free) but wanna know if there's been any major problems? Pro's/Con's etc?

Are they as good as they seem?

Thanks

I have the lg choclate which is the same phone and it is great, sometimes though you can confuse the touch sensative buttons and it shows fingerprints quite badly, other than that its superb..

I've had an E900 for about 3-weeks now ... think it's one of the best looking phones on the market (IMHO) and am well-pleased with the purchase ... only downsides are:

- Can't select ring AND vibrate for calls, but it does vibrate first THEN ring
- As above, fingerprints are a nightmare
- Touch sensitive keys aren't to everyones taste. I found them easy to use and no real problem but heard lots of people say they don't like them, well worth trying before you buy
- The back can scratch quite easily (i've been told) so takes a bit of looking after

Apart from that I can't fault it, not used the MP3 player yet (which i've also heard isn't great sound quality) but everything else is spot-on!.

Worth buying on looks alone ... the great functionality is a bonus!

I have had this phone on o2 for 16 days and i can only really echo what p1 brad has said.

I hate the touch sensitive buttons with a passion. When you are typing a text message if you accidently brush past the touch sens button it will go back to the menu screen and message is lost. Its a real real pain. The way most people get around the problem is to master the left hand text technique apparently!! You will understand what i mean if you get the phone.

The phone gets dirty in the space of 5 mins. Greasy and smeary no matter how hard you try to keep it clean.

The memory is small for one of the latest phones unless you get a memory card.

Another annoying thing is that if you charge the phone while you have it switched on then the front screen stays on permanantly and can make a drak room very light.

Good points is the style of the phone and looks good.
The camera is brilliant.

Think (!?) it does this even when switched off!!

If you do accidentally hit 'back' instead of delete when writing a text it should offer you the option to 'save to drafts'!?

Just remembered, another slightly irritating thing is the number of button presses you have to do to do anything (like send or delete texts) ... not too bad but can seem a bit of a chore.

But if its the same software as a D600, I'm sure you can disable the backlight while charging..

Just checked my D600 and you can..
