Finally bought a breitling on saturday
It is a work of art, went for a Colt Gmt with the white/silver face Picking it up today or tomorrow can't wait.
Got Goldsmiths down from £1365 to £1200, list price on blitz is £1180 so I think I got a pretty good deal.

They have got to make some profit, i'm guessing they haven't been selling much as they were very keen for the sale.
cheers

Nice
Toying with buying a navitimer at the moment.
Got some strange and suspect looks walking into jewellers last week in flip flops and asking about breitlings....until they saw I was wearing a decent watch already, then their attitude suddenly changed. Couldnt get it out of the case for me to try on fast enough after that point

What does your scooby do that a j reg cavalier doesn't do?
I have the money to spend on a decent watch and I think breitling are a work of art so I bought one. In my opinion Casio g shocks look terrible and I won't wear one if you paid me, doesn't mean I would question you for buying one.
Freedom of choice I believe its called.

Either that or the permanents are paid too much and their bonuses are what the average contractor makes in a year anyway so pointless trying to impress them.
Now I only buy stuff I like and don't give a toss what everyone else thinks.

I won't knock anyone for buying one but I dont get it either.
The only jewellery I wear is my wedding ring, I dont do bling or piercing and Sekonda do nice watches for £40 but that's just me.
One of my staff has just bought a £2k+ watch for his 40th birthday, most of my other staff thought he was mad but then again I spent more than that on an amplifier.
Each to their own.
Cheers

A good watch is also a sign of good taste. You like the finer things in life, and appreciate good quality items.
Always remember, a good watch and a good pair of shoes says alot about a person.

It's like buying the missus a ring (etc.) for £1000, when one from Elizabeth Duke at Argos would do the same job.

I live in a seriously affluent area (I rent a flat so not showing off) with many homes costing £6 million+, a lot of them drive around in cheap (sub £5000) cars and dress quite normally. It's often those that don't have it that try to be something they aren't and those that do don't really care.
