its probably banger racers - good racing cars are getting hard to come by now a days...
car security may not have been great, but the car was in a secure car park... hopefully they'll be some CCTV footage that may help...

Although I'm not a fan of the MK5, I wouldn't want to see a prime example being banger raced.
Could have been stolen to order for parts
