Ok,

First you need to download PDF Password Recovery....
http://www.lostpassword.com/acrobat.htm

Then you need the regcode for it.....I can't get this right now - so you may be forced to part with $45 to register it...

Then you can cut and paste out of any PDF document....

That would be my plan of attack...

HTH...

edited cause I can't spell today

Anyone know a way to convert a .pdf to a .doc Word document ?

Short of using Acrobat and copy/paste the text, i dont know how to get around this !

I think you'll find that most .pdf files are protected even from copy + paste, thats the whole point of them so that company docs cant be reproduced etc.

The only way that MAY work is to use the adobe writer software and see if you can open the pdf in that and get the text, though i'd be surprised if you could as that kinda defeats the point of pdf's.

Dave,

I'm told PDFs will come back to Postscript and from there convert to Word DOC. However, quite what tools to use, I don't know.

If the doc isn't too complicated, I've found it easier to print the PDF, scan it using OCR into Word.

I'm guessing that asking the originators to send you the original source document isn't on the cards ?

Cheers

Ian
