if i buy something not off ebay but privately and utilise the ebay paypal system, how am i charged as i have no +funds in the ebay account. i set the paypal account up by using a credit card. the item is 50.00, how would i be charged and would the paypal system allow the payment to be made.(via email)
am i making any sense

yeah no worries I used paypal to buy my bug eye corner markers off a guy in the US, got his e mail address off him and sent him the 20 dollars. Don't remember how much paypal charged me (or even if they did) but it was as easy if not easier than sending buying off ebay. Think they just take an extra 3% or somethin from your source of funds.

You can send invoices directly to somebody that has a PayPal account and then you choose one of the available payment options (depends on what you have set up) such as PayPal balance, credit card or direct bank transfer.

IIRC - you only get chared to take money out of your PayPal account, I think it's free to buy stuff. In otherwords you can use it independant of eBay, you can also use services like NoChex.
