Turkey is great, Rhodes is lovely, Goa is out of this world (bit wet in our summer). Bottom line, draw up a short list of ten then pick one with your eyes closed. Life is what you make it so you have the potentialto will be happy wherever you go and no one can tell you where you will be happiest. Its like choosing a car and getting someone else to test drive it...

good luck, im not far behind you

If its really what you want to do....long term planning is the way to go. Choose the place you think will be your heaven on earth and then do a few long holidays there over the next couple of years

Live the life short term and then decide It's very often the same grass, you know

Germany (Barvaria) has been good for me.

Low Crime, Clean,Water from the Alps, Better food and Beer , Good Education, Great public transport, Less of a rat race (although it does exist if you really like that type of thing), Loads of winter sports, climate is better (although we had a terrible spring this year), You can leave your doors unlocked in the countryside.

Its more like life should be. People tent to live life not exisit.
Obviously all societies have their downsides. And the grass is always greener - when you move you will meet your fair share of problems.

Met a woman who is moving to Italy yesterday. We both love england but both agreed that it is a pretty crap place live at the moment and that living in other western european countries, as far as a quality of life goes, is a total no brainer

I lived in Cyprus for 3 years. Hated it!
The locals HATE brits and are a bunch of b*stards!
Plus its ALOT more expensive to live there than the UK.
